My name is Kelsi Mae! I am the owner of Kelsi Mae Photography - real original business name, I know. Rest assured, my skill as a photographer is much more impressive than my ability to choose a unique business name.
I’ve been a natural light photographer in Southeast Missouri for over four years. During this time, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing so many incredible images for my clients… Smiles and belly laughs during family photos, warm embraces during engagement sessions, the first kiss of many newly married couples - the list could go on. Capturing these moments mean the world to me. I knew early on I was in the correct creative field of work when I would be going through the photos I had taken and could not stop smiling at the fact that I had caught some perfect, precious moments.
I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my clients. I attempt to make their sessions as comfortable as possible with easy-going conversation and fun questions. I am 100% a homebody, which makes it funny that I chose a profession where I’m constantly out and about meeting new people *insert nervous laughter here*
I have the sweetest little toddler tyrant in the whole world! This profession allowed me almost three beautiful years of staying at home with him and I could not be more grateful. Now, I am happy to do my photography, be super mommy, and also a full time pre-school teacher!
I love a good true crime podcast or book. I've listened to countless cases and stories while editing. My most listened to podcast is called Morbid!
My two comfort shows that are almost always playing somewhere in the background of my day-to-day life are How I Met Your Mother and Desperate Housewives.
